If your vehicle begins to skid on a slippery road, you should:

1. Brake hard immediately
2. Ease off the accelerator and steer in the direction you want the front of the vehicle to go
3. Turn the steering wheel sharply in the opposite direction of the skid
4. Accelerate to regain control
