If you must ride in heavy rain on the highway, you should:

1. Keep the throttle constant and ride exactly down the center oil strip
2. Slow down, increase following distance, ride in tire tracks left by cars, and avoid sudden inputs
3. Brake only with the rear brake to reduce skidding
4. Lean harder in curves to grip the wet pavement
