If your vehicle begins to skid on a wet or slippery road, how should you react?

1. Slam on the brakes immediately and hold the steering wheel tight
2. Release the accelerator pedal and steer gently in the direction of the skid
3. Accelerate hard to pull the vehicle out of the skid
4. Turn the steering wheel sharply in the opposite direction of the skid
