Except for vehicles constructed for only one person, a car provisional licence holder must be supervised by a person who:

1. Holds a full driving licence issued within the last two years
2. Has held a driving licence other than a provisional licence for at least two years, and is present in the vehicle
3. Holds a provisional licence but has already passed the Audio Visual Test
4. Holds a full licence for any class of vehicle and follows in a second car
