Great Lakes weather can change quickly. If you are caught in a sudden rain shower while riding, you should:

1. Ride faster to get out of the rain
2. Slow down, increase following distance to 3-4 seconds or more, ride in the dry tracks behind other vehicles, and avoid painted lines and metal grates
3. Brake hard at every stop sign to test the brakes
4. Pull over only after riding for at least 30 more minutes
