Why inspect more than the release handle at the coupling?

1. Delay repairs until after the route if the vehicle moves
2. Inspect the kingpin, fifth wheel, locking jaws, release arm, and mounting
3. Check only the tractor because the trailer is passive
4. Skip the item if the previous driver inspected it
