To keep sediment from being tracked onto a public highway, EPA construction BMPs and NMDOT Section 603 expect the Contractor to provide:

1. A silt fence across the travel lane
2. A stabilized construction exit (typically a rock tracking pad) at the point vehicles leave the disturbed site
3. A fog seal on the haul road clay
4. Only a sweeper after the project is complete
