Under NSW road rules, when reversing your vehicle, you must:

1. Reverse as quickly as possible to minimise time spent manoeuvring
2. Give way to all vehicles and pedestrians and reverse only when it is safe to do so
3. Sound your horn continuously while reversing
4. Only reverse if a second person is guiding you
