Why are advance direction signs especially important for HGV drivers?

1. They help choose the correct lane and avoid late, unsafe lane changes
2. They replace the need to check mirrors
3. They allow drivers to ignore width and weight restrictions
4. They guarantee that every road ahead is suitable for HGVs
