If you encounter a whiteout or extremely heavy snow that makes it impossible to see, you should:

1. Speed up to get through it faster
2. Slow down, and if necessary pull completely off the road and turn on hazard lights
3. Stop in your travel lane
4. Turn on your high beams and keep driving normally
