What is the minimum passing score for the Alberta Written Drivers Learners Test?

Answer: C — 80%

The minimum passing score for the Alberta Written Drivers Learners Test is set at 80%. This means that to successfully pass the exam, a candidate must correctly answer at least 80% of the questions presented. Achieving this score demonstrates a solid understanding of the rules of the road, traffic signs, and safe driving practices, which are essential for ensuring safety for all road users. The requirement for a higher passing percentage reflects the critical nature of road safety knowledge, as drivers need to make informed decisions and respond appropriately to various driving situations. A lower passing score would not adequately ensure that new drivers possess the necessary knowledge to operate a vehicle safely.
