1. Adjust each mirror so that a tiny sliver of the vehicle's rear door handle/flank is visible at the inner edge, with the horizon line positioned across the middle of the glass
2. Adjust mirrors so that half of the vehicle's side body panels occupy the reflection
3. Angle both mirrors pointing directly down at the rear tyres
4. Point both mirrors straight up at the sky to monitor overhead utility cables
