1. Within every 30-hour period, each driver must take a daily rest period of at least 9 consecutive hours in a stationary vehicle (or in a bunk while the other drives, if stationary rest rules allow)
2. Both drivers must sleep simultaneously for 15 hours every day
3. Drivers may drive continuously for 72 hours without stopping
4. One driver must hold a Category D bus licence while the other sleeps
