Before the first lesson of the day, the instructor should check the training vehicle's tyres for:

1. Correct pressures, adequate tread depth, and absence of cuts, bulges or embedded objects
2. Whether the brand matches on all four wheels
3. Whether they have been polished
4. Nothing — tyre checks are done annually at the VTS
