Before reversing, you must:

1. Rely only on the rear-view camera if fitted and never look behind
2. Check all around for children, pedestrians and obstacles, reverse slowly, and yield to other traffic
3. Reverse as fast as possible to clear the bay
4. Sound the horn continuously for one minute first
