If your throttle stays open after you release the grip (a stuck throttle), the first action should be to:

1. Pull the clutch in to disconnect engine power from the rear wheel
2. Press the front brake only and steer to the shoulder
3. Jump off the moving motorcycle
4. Down-shift to first gear
